2012 Appy Awards Jury included:

Justin Cinicolo
Mobile General Manager, Zynga
Justin Cinicolo is responsible for overseeing Zynga Poker Mobile and CityVille Hometown including the creation and development of new game features and ensuring the best playing experience possible for its players. Before joining Zynga, Justin was a toy designer, virtual world builder, and creator of the Game Innovation Database project. His work has been on display at the Montreal International Game Summit, Game Developers Conference, and Walt Disney World.

Giordano Contestabile
Franchise Business Director – Bejeweled, PopCap Games
Giordano has been with PopCap Games for 4 years, and was previously senior director of Product and Business Strategy – Mobile, and senior director of Business Development in PopCap’s Asia Pacific headquarters. Prior to that, Giordano worked in the mobile content space, holding positions as director – Asia Pacific and country manager – Brazil for ARENAmobile, and business development manager for Zero9 Group. In a previous life, Giordano worked as a DJ, VJ and video game journalist in his native Italy.

Mark DeLoura
Videogame Technology Consultant
Mark is a 20-year videogame industry technology executive and the creator of the Game Programming Gems series of technical books. Mark has worked in technology leadership positions at Sony, Nintendo, Google, THQ, and Ubisoft, as well as editor-in-chief of Game Developer magazine. Mark currently sits on the board for game charity OneBigGame, the advisory board of animation technology company Mixamo, and acts as an advisor for Game Developer Magazine and Gamasutra.com. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington.

Dan Israel
Strategy Lead, Mobile Practice, SapientNitro
As the strategy lead of SapientNitro’s mobile practice, Dan assists clients in developing their mobile strategies, from apps to mobile web to marketing-focused initiatives. His experience encompasses mobile and multi-channel approaches for retailers and other consumer-facing companies.

Thom Kennon
VP, Digital, Wunderman
A veteran of the digital marketing industry, Thom has founded, launched or lead three interactive agencies over his career. Thom joined the senior leadership team @ Y&R in the winter of 2011 to build an experience strategy practice group and discipline. For the past 5 years within the Wunderman, Y&R & WPP network Thom has provided digital and all-channel strategic planning oversight across the client portfolio, including Nokia, Microsoft, Citibank, Hewlett-Packard, Nationwide, Diageo, Dannon and more.

Kathryn Koegel
VP, Mobile Ad Innovations, Phonevalley
Kathryn Koegel is a media research and marketing specialist with expertise in Internet, TV, print and mobile media. She currently consults for a range of online advertising and mobile marketing companies, helping them develop consumer insights out of their primary data sets. She has worked for DoubleClick, Gemstar TV Guide (Interactive Program Guides and a cable network), US News & World Report, Conde Nast, The Online Publishers Association and one of the first Internet ad networks, Phase2Media.

Joy Liuzzo
VP, Director, InsightExpress
Liuzzo has extensive strategy and research experience in new media and telecommunications. She joined InsightExpress from AOL where she held the position of Senior Market Research Manager, a high level role that involved working closely with clients at every phase of research design and strategy development. Outside of her research responsibilities, she was part of an innovation team that developed a product and marketing strategy for a mobile advertising initiative.

Chuck Martin
Director, Center for Media Research
Chuck Martin is CEO of Mobile Future Institute and Director of the Center for Media Research at MediaPost Communications. He is the author of The Third Screen (Marketing to Your Customers in a World Gone Mobile), in which he defines the implications, strategies and tactics for businesses to thrive in the mobile revolution.

Philip Michaels
Lead Editor, Smartphones, Macworld.com
Philip Michaels is the editor of Macworld.com. He’s worked for Macworld for the past 12 years. He oversees all of Macworld’s iPad and iPhone coverage as well as its iOS app reviews.

Susie Ochs
Executive Editor, Mac|Life
Susie has been with Mac|Life for more than 5 years, covering Apple from the dawn of the Intel era to the world domination of the iPhone and iPad. Her work has also appeared in MacFormat, Tap!, @GAMER, MaximumPC, MaximumTech, and TechRadar.com.

Steve O’Connell
Partner/ECD, Red Tettemer + Partners
Steve spent the beginning of his career at Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he worked on accounts like IKEA and Virgin Atlantic, among others. Steve went on to be one of the founding partners and ECD’s at Stick and Move, overseeing work for Schwinn, Vitamin Water, and others. In 2010, through a merger, he became the Partner/ECD at RT+P.

Tim Stevens
Editor-in-Chief, Engadget
Tim Stevens is Editor-in-chief of Engadget. He’s an avid gamer, amateur motorsports enthusiast, lover of most outdoor activities, and proud creator of the first (and possibly only) two-player game for the Sega VMU.

Andy Wasef
Head of Mobile and Emerging Technologies, MEC
Andy joined MEC in the UK in 2003 and became the agency’s first digital strategist in 2005. During his time, he developed overall communications strategy for Monster UK, as well as digital strategy for Sony Ericsson, Colgate Palmolive and Paramount Pictures International. Currently his role has been solely dedicated to driving understand and the application of emerging media and technology for MEC’s clients across multiple markets.

David Weinstock
Executive Creative Director, Mr Youth
Last year, he joined the agency to oversee the agency’s creative direction and work for all clients, including Bing, Coca-Cola and Xbox. HE joined the agency from Euro RSCG in NYC, where he was a Creative Director, contributing to successful campaigns for high-profile clients, including Dos Equis and Kraft.

Harry Woods
Partner/Creative Director, WWD&S
Harry has created award-winning campaigns for a host of great brands. WWD&S has built a reputation as one of NY’s premier indie agencies, with their annual Wrath of Cannes event, and an impressive list of clients including Duracell/Powermat Wireless Charging, CNBC, Cheerwine and Sony Music, among others. Prior to WWD&S, he was a Creative Director at BBDO, where he launched Pepsi One, Tostitos and rebranded KFC.
